Here in the Netherlands they're going at it with the fireworks. Everybody keeps a nervous eye on the letter slot on the door and the municipality takes all of the outdoor trash bins down as a preemptive measure. This actually starts around Christmas and continues until a day or two after New Year's Eve. For a country that says they love dogs as much as they do, they sure don't seem to like them much this time of year, because the dogs are cowering in fear and trying to hide under the furniture. There's talk of limiting fireworks to a display put on by the municipality and maybe even going with the kind that don't have a loud report when they go off.
And....I don't feel like continuing on a NYE theme for the music. Instead I'll just do a selection of what I'm listening to at the moment. I might switch gears a couple of times. I haven't decided yet.
In case it isn't obvious, I'm listening to things that are better loud, because I can put on my headphones and drown out most of the fireworks.
